Invest in Education Coalition Applauds Victory for Champions of School Choice in Congress

WASHINGTON, DC – Following the results of the 2024 election, Invest in Education Coalition, an organization advocating for empowering parents to choose the best education for their children, celebrated school choice majorities in both houses of the U.S. Congress.

With a decidedly pro-school choice Congress beginning in January there is a clearer path to passing the Educational Choice for Children Act (ECCA), legislation that is designed to expand access to educational opportunity for children nationwide by funding K-12 scholarships through private donations that cover essential elements such as tuition, tutoring, special needs services, education technology, or curriculum materials. In September, the ECCA passed out of the House Ways & Means Committee.

Anthony J. de Nicola, Chairman of Invest in Education Coalition, said of the victory:

“I am thrilled to see that the new Congress – with many new and returning champions of school choice – will have the most favorable climate ever for education freedom. This is paving the way for school choice legislation like the ECCA to be passed and implemented so that millions of children will have access to the education option that is best for them. We look forward to getting to work next year on behalf of children and parents across the country who are counting on these lawmakers to deliver for them.”
